Tom is a 2nd year Masters student at the School of Information, where he is specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. Tom started off his professional career in clinical psychiatry, before ultimately changing his direction and pursuing design. This background facilitates his design in his attention to detail, utilizing similar research methods when conducting user studies that he learned through his clinical work.
Tom has some programming background as well, and has worked as a frontend developer in the past. He believes that this is key in designing good products, as he is able to sympathize with the developer and generate realistic goals.
